How to make cold infused iced tea

Step 1: What you need

  • Tea or Tisane (leaves or pyramid tea bag)

    Filtered Water

    Jug

    Spoon

    Strainer

    Ice

    Glass

Step 2: Weigh

12 g per 1 L

  • Weighed desired amount of tea and add to a 1 litre jug.

Step 3: Cold Infuse

  • Pour 1 L of filtered water into the jug.

    Stir leaves into the cold water and let stand at room-temperature for 15 mins.

    Place in the fridge and allow to cold infuse for a minimum of 6-8 hours, or overnight for best results. Stir occasionally.

Step 4: Build flavour

  • Strain the infused tea mixture into another vessel and add your desired fruits, herbs, and sweeteners. Below is a recipe for a Lemon & Black blend:

    40 g of lemon juice

    5g of fresh mint

    1 g of lemon rind

    If sweet: add 40 g of raw sugar

Ice & Serve

  • Add ice to a chilled glass.

    Pour over iced tea mix, garnish and serve.
