Sustainabiliity

We strive to ensure that our packaging has minimal impact on our environment.

Although we’re not perfect, we do have a plan. Here are some of the ways we are seeking to make a difference…

Cartons
We use 95% recycled material in our product packaging cartons.
We use the least possible amount of material per pack. 
We use materials that have a low carbon footprint and are in the process of offsetting our carbon omissions via a carbon emissions offset program provided by www.climatepositive.org

Cello Bag inners
The Cello bags used in the packaging of our retail chocolate and tea varieties are made from 100% biodegradable material.

Inks
The inks used in the printing of our retail packaging are all solvent free, made from vegetable extracts.

Shipper Cartons
These are the boxes our products are sent to the shops in. Our retail shipper cartons are made from 80% post consumer recycled paper.

1 Kg Bags
Our 1kg products are currently packaged in foil but will soon be packaged in materials made from paperboard sandwiched between two thin layers of polyethylene plastic (to make it air tight and protect the carton from external moisture).

Our Pyramid Infusers
As from July 1st 2008 we have begun moving our pyramid sachets to 100% biodegradable materials.
