Asks the Mad Hatter, “Do you care for tea?”

“Why yes, I’m very fond of tea,” Alice replies.

“If you don’t care for tea, you could at least make polite conversation.”

(Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll)

At Blondes to Brunettes we are incredibly fond of tea. That’s actually an understatement. We’re mad as a (Mad) Hatter about tea, and so are our clients!

It comes as no surprise then that we have decided to host a tea party. And this is how the story goes:

We invited our friend, fashion designer Nadia Pearce, and some 40 fabulous friends to join us at Blondes to Brunettes for afternoon tea and conversation on Sunday May 24. Then we said to our friend Ben at Somage Fine Foods, “Hey Ben, you should come, too!” And Ben, because he loves tea and loves conversation and because he thinks tea parties are a brilliant idea (His own words) said, “I’d be glad to.” Here comes the good part: coming to the party he is and with him he is bringing a range of sensational Chamellia teas (Just quietly – we love the lemongrass and ginger tea). So, while we’ve put a ban on Mad Hatters and (overly – think Eggleston Hall and elocution lessons) polite conversation, we’ve said a resounding YES to Chamellia Tea, fab friends and great conversation.

Just as an aside – there’s a reason we chose Somage Fine Foods to come to the party (So to speak!). Fashion designer Nadia Pearce is all about sustainable/ethical fashion and that’s the message we’re wanting to spread. Somage Fine Foods; well, their message is one of accountable living.  Chamellia teas taste sensational, but Ben and the team at Somage are adamant that none of this deliciousness comes at the expense of the environment, nor to the detriment of the quality of life of their farmers and workers (They say so themselves on their website – click on the image below to take a look for yourself)!
